HaruDot, also known as "haru-kok" in Korean ("the App", "we", "us", or "our"), establishes and discloses this Privacy Policy to explain how information is handled when users use the App.

1. Purpose of Information Processing

The App is designed to help users quickly mark what they did each day with a simple calendar, preset mark, or short custom mark.

Daily marks and custom text entered by users are stored on the user's device and may sync through the user's private iCloud account when iCloud is available and enabled on the device. We do not intentionally collect, transmit, sell, or share daily mark text, custom mark content, calendar contents, or user-entered notes for advertising targeting.

2. Information Processed by the App

The App may process the following information depending on the features used:

• Daily mark data entered by the user, such as date keys, symbols, short custom mark text, and creation dates
• App settings, including appearance mode, update state, first-install state, advertising availability state, consent state, and related lightweight app data
• iCloud sync data processed through Apple CloudKit private database features, depending on the user's Apple ID, iCloud settings, and device settings
• Inquiry information if the user contacts us by email or another support channel
• Advertising, consent, analytics, diagnostic, crash, device, and interaction information processed by third-party services used in the App
• Operational notification information, such as app version, build number, device model, OS version, locale, and time zone, if the App sends internal operational events

The App does not require a HaruDot account and does not ask users to provide a name, email address, phone number, address, birthday, or other account profile information to use the main daily marking feature.

3. Local Storage and iCloud Sync

Daily mark data is primarily stored in the App's local database on the user's device.

When iCloud is available and enabled, daily mark data may be synchronized through Apple's CloudKit private database service so the user's marks can be available across the user's devices. iCloud and CloudKit data are handled by Apple according to the user's Apple ID, iCloud, and device settings.

Users can delete locally stored app data by deleting the App from their device. Some data may also remain in device backups, iCloud, CloudKit, or other platform-level services depending on the user's Apple and iCloud settings.

4. Analytics, Remote Config, and Operational Diagnostics

The App may use analytics and remote configuration services to understand basic app usage, improve reliability, manage app version update prompts, and control app configuration.
